                                Prenatal Yoga Instruction

The physical and mental benefits to practicing yoga during pregnancy can be extrememly rewarding.  Not only will you gain more strength and flexibility, but your overall well-being is improved both mentally and emotionally.  Gaining greater awareness of the body and how it is changing empowers you to make educated decisions regarding yours and your baby's health.

Private prenatal yoga instruction helps to focus on specific aches and pains that are common during pregnancy.  You will learn poses and techniques that may be beneficial during labor.  Becoming more familiar with the power of your breath and its ability to relax muscles and decrease your perception of pain is a powerful tool.

As important as it is to develop strong muscles, taking time to relax is also imperative.  Surrendering into restorative poses will leave you feeling completely calm and refreshed.  Gently and mindfully practicing yoga throughout your pregnancy is also a perfect way to enhance your relationship with your baby.  How beautiful it is to breath, stretch, and find a calm relaxed mind with your baby receiving these benefits all along the way.  This practice offers an opportunity to tap into your natural instincts as a pregnant woman.  Your body knows how to do this!

I strongly believe in the power of developing a yoga practice throughout pregnancy.  It can help to enhance your overall experience making this a positively memorable time of your life.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or thoughts on making prenatal yoga a part of your exercise plan.  You will love finding that inner strength and peace within.

Be sure you have clearance from your doctor before practicing prenatal yoga.  It is one of the gentlest forms of exercise with positive long term benefits.
